Chronicler of the dance of profit
Open magazine interviews Jeremy Seabrook, author of The Song of the Shirt, a book chasing the chequered history of cheap cloth across continents and centuries, published by Navayana recently. Very poor choice of a title for the interview, but it manages to raise several important questions, which Seabrook deals with in his characteristic open style, deeply personal engagement, and an empathy which transverses mere political correctness.
